Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood 'Leaves Wife For Russian Teenager'

July 11, 2008
Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood 'Leaves Wife For Russian Teenager'An 18-year-old Russian cocktail waitress has claimed that Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood has left his wife of 23 years to run away with her, a tabloid report claims today.

Wood met Muscovite Ekaterina Ivanova while he was out on a drinking session earlier this year and has now apparently taken her away to his luxury home in Ireland for a trip.

According to The Sun, before they left the country the waitress says she told Wood's wife Jo that he is leaving her.

However, speaking to paper yesterday, 53-year-old Jo said that she believes the pair have gone on a painting holiday together, but denies that her husband has left her. Jo also said she never even had the conversation with Ivanova about Ronnie leaving.

Speaking from her South London home, Jo Wood said: “She (Ivanova) is mad — she is a terrible alcoholic. I know her — she’s been here. She’s a friend and he’s a guy — I’m going to call her now. And I’m gonna go and call him now and tell him what she’s said.”

Jo continued that her only prior concern for Ronnie was that he was drinking too much, continuing: “He’s drinking heavily — maybe two bottles of vodka a day.”

Ronnie's wife insisted that she was okay with them hanging round together, adding: “I was quite all right that she was hanging around with him. They have been staying in Ireland and Ronnie’s art man was with them.

"Ronnie told me she was staying there and I said, ‘OK — get on with it and have a drink, go mad. Drink your guts up’.”

The lengthy article goes on to quote a friend who reportedly says that Ivanov used Facebook to brag to her friends about her supposed relationship with Wood.

Wood met the teenager while out drinking in a bar after the premiere of the Martin Scorsese Rolling Stones documentary 'Shine A Light.'
