LaToya Jackson: 'Michael Jackson Was Murdered'

June 24, 2010
LaToya Jackson: 'Michael Jackson Was Murdered'LaToya Jackson has again claimed that her brother Michael was murdered because he was "worth so much more dead than alive".

La Toya said the star was killed so that people could exploit his lucrative back catalogue - and that his family and friends deserve “the truth”.

Her claim comes on the eve of the first anniversary of Jackson's death on June 25 last year at the age of 50.

“You must remember from the day that I found out that Michael was no longer with us, when my mother screamed 'he's dead' on the phone, I just went into this, 'Who did it?',” La Toya said.

Speaking during a GMTV interview, the singer's sister described the situation as “totally unfair”.

She added: “He was murdered for his catalogue and they knew that, and they knew Michael was much more, worth so much more dead than alive.”

A report in Billboard magazine earlier this week estimated that Jackson's estate had generated $1billion since his death.

Conspiracy theories about Jackson's death, which was ruled homicide, have intensified in recent months.
