Radiohead Kick Off World Tour With Tibet Message

May 6, 2008
Radiohead Kick Off World Tour With Tibet MessageRadiohead used the opening show of their world tour last night (May 5th) to send an obvious message about China’s political and humanitarian actions in Tibet.

The stage for the band’s show at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in Florida was decorated with two Tibetan flags.

The subject of Tibet, which lost its independence to the Peoples Republic of China in 1951, has become prominent over recent months, with violent protests breaking out across the country.

Radiohead’s show in Florida was their first proper tour date in support of recent album ‘In Rainbows’.

The 24-song set included the entire album, except first single ‘Jigsaw Falling Into Place’.

Radiohead’s set list was:

  1. All I Need
  2. Bodysnatchers
  3. There There
  4. Reckoner
  5. The Gloaming
  6. Morning Bell
  7. Nude
  8. How To Disappear Completely
  9. 15 Step
  10. Arpeggi
  11. Idioteque
  12. Bulletproof (I Wish I Was)
  13. Where I End And You Begin
  14. Airbag
  15. Everything In Its Right Place
  16. The National Anthem
  17. Videotape
  18. Optimistic
  19. Just
  20. Faust Arp
  21. Exit Music (For A Film)
  22. Bangers And Mash
