Of Montreal front man Kevin Barnes has linked up with MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden to start a new side project. Called Blikk Fang the duo began the group as a bit of a joke but now it seems to have become more serious with releases a prospect for the distant future. 
Pop Levi has announced his return with a new album and single due in the next few months. The retrogressive songwriter will release his second solo album ‘Never Never Love’ on July 14. 
The mighty Les Savy Fav have announced details of an online-only live album. Titled ‘After The Balls Drop’, the album features 14 songs recorded at the famous New York Bowery Ballroom on New Year’s Day as well as a speech from frontman Tim Harrington. 
Adele is ready to bring her coffee-table music to the masses in America after a joint record deal was struck up between her UK label XL Recordings and Columbia. The 19-year-old ‘Chasing Pavements’ singer will release her debut album ‘19’ stateside in the summer. The record went straight to number one upon its UK release earlier in the year. 
Electro outsiders Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip have announced the release of their new single ‘Look For The Woman’ on 28th April. Remixes by DJ Yoda, Zane Lowe and Fake Blood. Fake Blood will also feature on the single release. 
Not just one, but two whole new tribute albums are planned to pay homage to The Cure in the coming months. The first, from American Laundromat Records, will feature the Raveonettes, Frank Black's Grand Duchy project, Tanya Donnelly, and many more. 
Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has dropped the bombshell that he tried to commit suicide a few years ago. The bassist revealed that he was mentally out of control at the time and he was close to taking his life by taking an overdose of an anti-anxiety prescription drug called Ativan. 
The BBC has been on the receiving end of harsh criticism after an episode of Lily Allen And Friends aired video footage showing a pupil pulling a teacher’s trousers down. The footage was shown on the chatshow on Tuesday night as part of a selection of “funny internet clips”.

Jamie Reynolds from the Klaxons will DJ a minimal electro-house set at a night headlined by techno legend Carl Cox. The event, Carl Cox & Friends, will be held on two nights on April 10/11 at Heaven nightclub in London. 
The Raconteurs have announced a short North American tour to promote their new album ‘Consolers Of The Lonely’. Jack White, Brendon Benson and co will head out next month to play ten shows starting in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom. 
Queen have unveiled details of their first album in 13 years – their first work without any input from the late Freddie Mercury. Titled ‘The Cosmos Rocks’, the album has been written and recorded by guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and Free frontman Paul Rodgers who has taken over from Mercury on vocal duties.
