Michael Jackson Up For Five Posthumous American Music AwardsMichael Jackson has posthumously been nominated in five categories at the American Music Awards.

In the main category - Artist of the Year – Jackson will go head-to-head with Lady GaGa, Eminem, Kings Of Leon and Taylor Swift.

He's also nominated as the Favourite Male Artist in both the pop and soul categories, the Favourite Album for 'Number Ones' in both said categories.

Nominations were formulated by combining sales and radio airplay, while fans will vote for the winners online.

The results will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on November 22.
