Kiss' Gene Simmons 'Smarter Than A Fifth Grader'November 10, 2008
 Kiss bassist Gene Simmons earned $500,000 on America's TV quiz 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader' last week.
Simmons, a popular guest on the show, stormed through most of the test but decided to decline the $1million question. The bassist was asked to name what the K represents on the Periodic Table of Elements. Had Simmons gone with his instinct, Krypton, he would have lost the money - the correct answer is Potassium.
