Kiss (often stylized as KISS) is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973. Easily identified by its members' face paint and flamboyant stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid to late 1970s on the basis of their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits and pyrotechnics. Kiss has been awarded 24 gold albums to date. The band has sold more than 40 million albums in the United States, of which 19 million have been certified by the RIAA, and their worldwide sales exceeds 100 million albums.

KISS star Gene Simmons has revealed that the band have begun work on their new album. The group, who released their last album 'Sonic Boom' in 2009, are recording their latest effort in Ls Angeles. Read more

Kiss, The Cure and Billy Joel will all feature on a new Paul McCartney covers album, it has been reported. The singer is planning to make a new album featuring covers of his solo material and Wings tracks which will also feature his son James. Read more

Websites belonging to KISS’s Gene Simmons have been hacked following the bassist’s recent comments about illegal downloading. Last week, Simmons urged musicians to protect their catalogue and “sue everybody” who shared their music illegally. Read more

KISS star Gene Simmons has accused the music industry of not reacting fast enough to curb the problem of illegal file-sharing. The bassist said lawsuits should have been issued against illegal downloaders sooner and that the error had cost “hundreds of thousands of jobs” in the industry. Read more
