Take That Insist Robbie Williams Reunion Will 'Happen One Day'

March 30, 2009
Take That Insist Robbie Williams Reunion Will 'Happen One Day'Take That singer Gary Barlow has responded to former band mate Robbie Williams' claim that he is ready to rejoin the band.

Williams said last week that a reunion was “looking more likely by the week”, revealing that he was in “regular contact” with each Take That member.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Barlow said Williams' comments were “an old piece of news” to the band.

"We'd all love to do something - Rob's in the studio making a new album at the moment, we're on tour in the summer - it will happen one day, I just don't know when,” Barlow told The Sun newspaper.

But band mate Jason Orange appeared more cautious about the chances of a reunion, describing Williams' mood as “quite changeable”.

"Robbie will tell you himself, he's quite changeable, so he will say on his website or some video that he wants to get back with the band and then he'll say in the next moment: 'Maybe I'll do my own thing',” Orange said.

Williams spokesman said today that there were no immediate plans for him to rejoin his the band.

"He is fully focused on getting the album together and there are no plans for a Take That reunion," the spokesman said.

Williams' as-yet-untitled new album is due to be released this autumn.
