50 Cent Cautiously Welcomes Kanye West's New Sound

November 17, 2008
50 Cent Cautiously Welcomes Kanye West's New SoundUS rapper 50 Cent has cautiously welcomed Kanye West's decision to sing on his new album '808s and Heartbreak'.

West has surprised fans and critics with his new sound, which he has christened 'pop-art'.

50 Cent told MTV he had heard seven songs from the rapper's new album and that he did think there is “a place for it”.

He added: “I think people will enjoy it if you're actually in love or going through something. I think Kanye's going through an interesting point in his career."

As previously reported, the two rappers will no longer clash in the album charts this Christmas after 50 Cent delayed the release his new LP, 'Before I Self Destruct', until 2009.

Last December, West's 'Graduation' beat 50 Cent's 'Curtis' to number one in the UK and US following a high-profile sales battle.
