Noel Gallagher Slams Kaiser Chiefs And 'Destitute Horse' Amy Winehouse

August 15, 2008
Noel Gallagher Slams Kaiser Chiefs And 'Destitute Horse' Amy WinehouseOasis guitarist Noel Gallagher slammed the Kaiser Chiefs, Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson during an appearance on radio this morning.

Talking to Chris Moyles on BBC Radio 1, Gallagher said of the Kaiser Chiefs: "The Monkees haven't split up, they're just going under the name of the Kaiser Chiefs.

"I did drugs for 18 years and I never got that bad as to say, 'You know what? I think the Kaiser Chiefs are brilliant.'"

Appearing on radio to unveil the new Oasis single, 'The Shock Of Lightning', Gallagher called Winehouse a “destitute horse” and didn't go lightly on her producer Ronson either.

"He wants to write his own tunes instead of ruining everyone else's,” Gallagher said of Ronson, who has also produced the new Kaiser Chiefs album.

"Mark Ronson needs to learn three chords on the guitar and write a tune,” he added.
