Myles Kennedy's Links To Led Zeppelin Remain 'Hush-Hush'

December 2, 2008
Myles Kennedy's Links To Led Zeppelin Remain 'Hush-Hush'Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy's links to the vacant singing position in Led Zeppelin are to remain “hush-hush”, according to his bandmate.

Kennedy has been linked to the veteran group ever since it emerged that John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham planned to tour minus their frontman Robert Plant.

Plant ruled himself out of any further performances with the group earlier in the autumn.

In an interview with Music Radar, Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti acknowledged the reports but wouldn't speculate on them.

"We all have to be real hush-hush about it. We hear the rumours; we know what everybody's saying; but as far as what's really happening... I don't really know,” he said. “Nobody does.

“The only thing I can say is that, no matter what happens next year, it'll be for the ultimate benefit of Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge is our number one priority. Nothing has changed that in anybody's mind."

Calls for a full Led Zeppelin reunion tour have been relentless since the bands reunion show at the O2 Arena last December - which attracted 1 million applicants for just 9,000 pairs of tickets.

Other singers linked to the band include Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Chris Cornell, who said he found the idea of a Led Zeppelin reunion tour without frontman Robert Plant “depressing”.

As previously reported, Tremonti's former band, Creed, are in talks to announce their own reunion in 2009.
