Pete Doherty’s manager has hit out at reports that the Babyshambles man has been taking heroin while in prison.

Doherty is currently incarcerated in Wormwood Scrubs after being given a fourteen week jail sentence for breaking a probation order.

The Sun yesterday (April 16) claimed that he had been taking drugs and published pictures of him in his cell.

However, his manager Adrian Hunter told Now Online: "In our contact with Peter since his incarceration he has been healthy, lucid and positive.

"Peter is trying to carry out his sentence with dignity and should be allowed to do so without intrusion."
