Snoop Dogg Banned From Performing At Parkpop Festival

June 18, 2010
Snoop Dogg Banned From Performing At Parkpop FestivalSnoop Dogg has been banned from appearing at the Parkpop festival following a request by police.

The rapper, who has a history of visa troubles, had been due to perform at the event on June 27, but police said he was inappropriate.

The BBC reports that authorities asked organisers to ensure that the festival maintained its “open and friendly character”.

In March, the rapper won a long-running battle with the UK Border Agency over his right to enter the country.

Snopp Dogg is scheduled to perform at the Glastonbury festival next week.
