Elton John Backs Lady Gaga To Sing Next James Bond Theme

April 6, 2010
Elton John Backs Lady Gaga To Sing Next James Bond ThemeSir Elton John has said he is “really pleased” that Lady Gaga has been tipped to record a song for the next James Bond film.

Last week, a report claimed producers had targeted the US singer to submit a theme for the next film.

Sir Elton, who performed with Lady Gaga at the Grammy Awards in February, said he was happy for the star and hoped they could record a duet in the future.

"I'm really pleased that Lady Gaga is up for the theme tune,” the singer is quoted as telling the People.

“She's fantastic and it would be amazing to do a duet."

Amy Winehouse, who has been linked to the franchise in the past, and Michael Buble are also said to be in contention to write the theme for the new film.

The next movie, which will once again star Daniel Craig as Bond, is due to go into production later this year.
