December 27, 2010
Diddy, Mary J Blige Pay Tribute To Teena MarieDiddy and Mary J Blige have paid tribute to Teena Marie, who has died.

The singer died at her home in California at the weekend, her manager said. She was 54.

In a message on Twitter, Diddy wrote: "R.I.P Teena Marie. God Bless. Damn I just saw her the other day."

Blige also used the micro-blogging website to pay her respects. "Rest in peace Teena Marie," she wrote. "My Love for u is forever."

Teena Marie was one of the rare white artists signed to the Motown label and won four Grammy nominations.

Her biggest hit in the UK was 1980’s ‘Behind The Groove’, which reached number six on the singles chart.
