Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is set to introduce his mum and dad to the parents of girlfriend Kate Hudson this Christmas, according to reports.

The singer has apparently arranged to fly his family from Exeter to California to meet Hudson's actress mum Goldie Hawn and stepdad Kurt Russell.

It will be the first time that the two families have come together, according to The Sun.

"Things are getting serious between Kate and Matt and it's the obvious next step,” a source said.

Last month, Bellamy sparked rumours he was set to marry Hudson after they were spotted browsing a New York jewellery store.

The couple started dating after meeting at the Coachella festival in Los Angeles in April.

They went public with their romance when Hudson was spotted watching Muse's headline set at the Glastonbury festival in June.
