Poison Star Bret Michaels 'Doing Better', His Sister Says

May 4, 2010
Poison Star Bret Michaels 'Doing Better', His Sister SaysPoison star Bret Michaels is “definitely doing better” after suffering a brain hemorrhage, his sister has said.

The 47-year-old singer was taken to hospital in Los Angeles last month complaining of a severe headache.

Doctors later found evidence of bleeding onto the surface of the brain stem.

In an interview on US radio, his sister, Michelle Sychak, said Michaels was still in intensive care but that doctors were confident he was making progress.

Sychak told the Todd n Tyler Radio Empire show her brother was "definitely doing better — he was kind of getting up and starting to walk a bit ... because they don't want the blood to clot”.

However, Sychak admitted that Michaels was still “in a lot of pain”.

"What's happened is all that blood in his brain is starting to drain, and he's starting to have a lot of back pain," she added.
