January 12, 2010
Ex-Guns N' Roses Guitarist Gilby Clarke Breaks Leg In Motorcycle CrashFormer Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke suffered a broken leg in a motorcycle accident at the weekend.

Close friend and TV presenter Riki Rachtman made the revelation on Twitter on Sunday, writing: “Some asshole turned in front of one of (Gilby) yesterday he was on a bike and is now in the hospital. I'm going there now.”

He later tweeted: “I spoke w/ him his legs busted up pretty bad. Im going to see him now. It was a hit and run. Ill tell you more later.”

After visiting Gilby in hospital, Rachtman wrote: “Gilbys got some good breakage in that leg. He is in good spirits considering.”

Gilby Clarke joined Guns N' Roses in November 1991 following the departure of Izzy Stradlin and toured extensively with the band until he left three years later.

He has also performed with acts including MC5, Nancy Sinatra and Slash's Snakepit and more recently released his eponymous best of solo album in January 2007.
