Kiss To Continue Thrilling Fans With Classic Songs

February 27, 2009
Kiss To Continue Thrilling Fans With Classic SongsKiss guitarist Paul Stanley has said the band will continue playing their classic songs live despite plans to record new material.

The veteran rock group are expected to enter the studio in March to record their first new studio album since 1998, with Stanely acting as producer.

But, during an appearance on Fox, Stanley assured fans that they wouldn't neglect playing the songs that made their name.

"Playing a lot of classic songs has really just whetted our appetite to go in the studio and transfer that, that same feeling and ferocity into new material,” he said.

“I would never, ever grow tired of those songs. The songs have made me both incredibly satisfied and rich and made a lot of other people very, very happy.

“It would be a show of disrespect - and maybe not deserving - to grow tired of something that's meant that much."

Speaking last year, Stanley said the new album, their first since 'Psycho Circus', would be made “the way I wanted to do it”.

Kiss spent 2008 playing in the US and Europe.
