Paul McCartney Inspires 'Meat Free Monday' At Hard Rock Cafe

The Hard Rock Café in London is to launch a “Meat Free Monday” menu in honour of a charity setup by Sir Paul McCartney.

The diverse menu will include choices ranging from a Linda McCartney Vegetarian Burger to a selection of healthy drinks.

Sir Paul established Meat Free Monday last year alongside is daughters Stella and Mary McCartney.

The charity encourages people to have at least one meat-free day every week to help highlight the link between meat consumption/production and climate change.

“Having one designated meat free day a week is actually a meaningful change that everyone can make, that goes to the heart of several important political, environmental and ethical issues all at once,” the former Beatle said.

The menu will be available from Monday (June 7), and is also timed to coincide with Sir Paul’s upcoming UK tour.
