Kanye West Hails Arcade Fire, Mick Jagger, Muse At Grammy Awards 2011

February 14, 2011
Kanye West Hails Arcade Fire, Mick Jagger, Muse At Grammy Awards 2011Kanye West paid tribute to Arcade Fire's win at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 13), despite not being at the event in person.

The rapper let his fans know his thoughts on the ceremony in a series of tweets via Twitter.

After the Montreal-based band received Album of the Year for 'The Suburbs', West - a fan of the group - wrote: “ARCADEFIRE!”.

He also described Rolling Stones' star Mick Jagger as “crazy fresh” after the singer made his first ever live appearance at the ceremony.

And after Muse singer Matt Bellamy dedicated the band's win to “his Beautiful pregnant girlfriend” Kate Hudson, West said: “Sounds like a good album title!”.

West, who has courted controversy at awards ceremonies in recent years, said he would remain tight-lipped over the surprise winner of Best New Artist, Esperanza Spalding, who beat the likes of Justin Bieber.

“Damn...I can't find the words to explain how I feel about the best new artist award...Don't wanna say the wrong thing,” he said.
