Yoko Ono: The Beatles On iTunes Still Uncertain

August 9, 2010
Yoko Ono: The Beatles On iTunes Still UncertainYoko Ono has told Beatles fans not to hold “your breath” over the band's music appearing on iTunes.

The Liverpool band are still one of the only remaining acts not to have made their music available for digital download.

In recent years, their appearance on Apple's music store has appeared more likely, with Sir Paul McCartney revelling that there were just “a couple of sticking points”.

But Ono, the widow of John Lennon, told the Daily Telegraph that both parties had still yet to reach an agreement.

"[Apple CEO] Steve Jobs has his own idea and he's a brilliant guy," she said.

“There's just an element that we're not very happy about. Don't hold your breath."

The Beatles' music rights are owned by Apple Corps, which until 2007 was locked in a copright case with Apple over its name.
