Tina Turner Postpones UK Tour Dates Due To Flu

March 10, 2009
Tina Turner Postpones UK Tour Dates Due To FluTina Turner has been forced to cancel the final two dates of her UK tour are contracting respiratory flu.

The shows, at London's O2 Arena tomorrow (March 11th) and the Sheffield Arena on Thursday (March 12th), will now take place in May.

Turner's spokesperson said in a statement: “Tina always wants to give one hundred percent and has been overwhelmed by the reaction from her UK fans at the gigs last week.

“She regrets this decision to postpone and the inconvenience to all those fans with tickets but wants to make sure each concert she does is memorable for everyone.”

Turner's postponed date at the O2 Arena tomorrow was scheduled to bring to an end her critically acclaimed five night run at the venue.

The show will now be staged on May 3rd, while the Sheffield date will take place on May 5th.

Concert promoters Marshall Arts have asked ticket holders for London and Sheffield to retain their tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates.

Turner's European tour is due to restart in Paris on March 16th.
