Vampire Weekend is an American indie rock band from New York City that formed in 2006 and signed to XL Recordings. The band released its first album Vampire Weekend in 2008, which produced the singles "Mansard Roof", "A-Punk", "Oxford Comma", and "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa". The band's most recent album, "Contra", was released in 2010.

Vampire Weekend have issued a lawsuit against photographer Tod Brody, who claims to have taken the photo on the cover of their recent album 'Contra'. The band have been sued for $2million by the woman who pictured on the artwork for their 2010 LP. Read more

The cover star of Vampire Weekend's second album 'Contra' has again insisted that she didn't give the band permission to use the photograph. The image of Ann Kirsten Kennis, apparently taken in 1983, was also the main focus of a promotional campaign for the record. Read more

Ann Kirsten Kennis has “no idea” how she came to be the cover star of Vampire Weekend's second album 'Contra', her lawyer has said. The former model filed a lawsuit against the band earlier this month, claiming that she never authorised them to use the image. Read more
