Sir Paul McCartney Praises Duffy's Cover Of Wings' Classic

September 23, 2008
Sir Paul McCartney Praises Duffy's Cover Of Wings' ClassicSir Paul McCartney has praised Duffy's cover of The Wings' track 'Live and Let Die', which appears on a new War Child album.

Duffy is one of a host of current chart stars who were picked by legendary musicians for the album, entitled 'Heroes'.

Beck was nominated by Bob Dylan to cover 'Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat', while The Kinks' 'Victoria' has been re-imagined by The Kooks.

Sir Paul, who recorded 'Live and Let Die' for the James Bond film of the same name, called Duffy's cover “great”, adding: “The breadth of talent on this project is amazing.

It’s great that so many people have given their time, energy and support to this initiative. I urge everyone to support War Child.”

'Heroes' is due to be released on November 24th.
