Biffy Clyro Have 16 Songs Written For New Album

March 2, 2011
Biffy Clyro Have 16 Songs Written For New AlbumBiffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil has revealed that he band have around 16 songs written for their new album.

The singer told BBC 6 Music he had written the majority of the tracks at home over the new year and that they planned to hit the studio after their current tour.

Speaking about the sound of the new material, he said: "We're always going to be a rock band, it's always going to be heavy, but hopefully just bring different elements, it's going to sound like Biffy, it's not going to be a reggae record put it that way."

Biffy Clyro's last album 'Only Revolutions' was released in 2009 and nominated for the Mercury Prize. The band have yet to announce details of a release date for their as-yet-untitled new album.
