Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday; September 27, 1947), better known by his stage name, Meat Loaf, is an American rock musician and actor. He is noted for the Bat Out of Hell album trilogy consisting of "Bat Out of Hell", "Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell" and "Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose". Bat Out of Hell has sold more than 43 million copies. After more than 30 years, it still sells an estimated 200,000 copies annually, and stayed on the charts for over nine years, making it one of the best selling albums of all time.

Meat Loaf has announced details of a UK tour, which is set to get under way in in Cardiff on November 29. The eight-date Hang Cool tour also includes gigs in Bournemouth (December 1), Birmingham (5) and Manchester (9). Read more

Music heavyweight Meat Loaf has been drafted in as a judge for the latest ITV talent show 'Pop Star to Opera Star'. The singer – real name Michael Lee Adday – will be judging the singing talents of Blur's Alex James, former McFly singer Danny Jones, Jimmy Osmond, former Pop Idol reject Darius Campbell and four more tenuous stars. Meat Loaf has responded after fans criticised his performance at the Broadlands Festival in Kent last weekend. A review of the festival, which also saw sets from Boyzone and Katie Melua, claims that some fans left the concert before Meat Loaf had finished. Read more

Having announced at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena last year that the performance would likely be his last ever, Meatloaf has reportedly now announced that he can never quit performing. He is also believed to be planning on heading out on an 18 date tour, reports The Guardian. Read more
