Nicky Wire Calls Radiohead's Ed O'Brien A 'C*nt'

February 19, 2010
Nicky Wire Calls Radiohead's Ed O'Brien A 'C*nt'Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire has hit out at Radiohead's Ed O'Brien calling him a “c*nt.”

The bassist made the comments at an ultra-intimate 300 capacity show in Glasgow last night celebrating the 29th birthday of the King Tuts Wah Wah Hut.

Wire said: "Apparently Ed O'Brien called me a wanker, I'm really f*cking scared, go back to your boarding school you c*nt!"

He made the comments in the light of O'Brien saying that Nicky Wire was talking “bollocks” when criticising Radiohead's pay-what-you-want download for 'In Ranbows'.

In December, Wire said: “Fair play to Radiohead for doing something different. It’s certainly great for publicity but I think it kind of demeans music.”

According to NME.com, the set-list at King Tuts last night was as follows:

  1. Strip It Down
  2. Your Love Alone Is Not Enough
  3. Motorcycle Emptiness
  4. From Despair To Where
  5. Peeled Apples
  6. This Is Yesterday
  7. Kevin Carter
  8. Tsunami
  9. Found That Soul
  10. Little Baby Nothing
  11. Jackie Collins Existential Question Time
  12. If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next
  13. Donkeys
  14. The Everlasting
  15. You Love Us
  16. No Surface All Feeling
  17. Masses Against The Classes
  18. All Or Nothing
  19. Motown Junk
  20. A Design For Life
