Grinderman is a rock band formed by Nick Cave (vocals, electric guitar, organ, piano), Warren Ellis (electric bouzouki, Fendocastor, violin, viola, acoustic guitar, backing vocals), Martyn P. Casey (bass, acoustic guitar, backing vocals) and Jim Sclavunos (drums, percussion, backing vocals) in 2006, all of whom are members of the post-punk group Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Their self-titled debut album - "Grinderman" - was released in 2007, with the follow-up, "Grinderman 2", was released in September 2010.

Grinderman are set to appear at the Primavera Sound Festival next year, it has been announced. The band will co-headline the Spanish festival, which takes place from May 25-29. Read more

Grinderman have been added to the line-up for All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in London next year. The band will performed on the second day of the event, which runs from July 23-24 at Alexandra Palace. Read more

Nick Cave has confirmed that he is ready to record a new Grinderman album as soon as he has completed their upcoming festival tour. The Bad Seeds only released critically acclaimed ‘Dig!!! Lazarus, Dig!!! earlier this year, but Cave is itching to get back in the studio with his Ginderman project. Read more
