Robbie Williams, Florence And The Machine Bookies' Favourites At BRIT Awards

February 16, 2010
Robbie Williams, Florence And The Machine Bookies' Favourites At BRIT AwardsRobbie Williams and Florence & The Machine are favourites to take the Best British Male and Female prizes at the BRIT Awards tonight (February 16).

Florence and the Machine is 5/4 to claim Best British Female ahead of Lily Allen (11/8) and Pixie Lott (7/1).

The band, fronted by Florence Welch, are also favourite to win Best British Album for their debut 'Lungs'.

Williams, who will receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony in London, is 6/4 favourite to win Best British Male.

Dizzee Rascal (13/8) and Paolo Nutini (4/1) are also in contention for the prize.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole is 7/4 favourite to win Best UK Single for 'Fight For This Love' ahead of songs by JLS and La Roux.

Bookmakers Paddy Power are also offering some unusual odds for Cole, whose relationship with her footballer husband Ashley is the subject of current tabloid speculation.

Fans can get 8/1 odds that the Girls Aloud singer will cry on stage and 50/1 odds that she will dump her husband during her acceptance speech.

The BRIT Awards will be screened live on ITV1 tonight from 8pm.
