Deep Purple Announce UK Arena Tour With Orchestra

Deep Purple Announce UK Arena Tour With OrchestraDeep Purple have announced details of a UK arena tour, which will see them perform alongside a 38-piece symphony orchestra.

The band, who formed in 1968 and have sold over 100 million albums worldwide, will kick off their jaunt in Glasgow on November 26.

The Songs That Built Rock tour also includes gigs in Birmingham (November 27), Manchester, (29) and London (30).

Meanwhile, Deep Purple have confirmed that plans are in place to release a new album in 2012.

Tickets go on sale on Friday (April 15) at 9am.

Deep Purple's UK arena dates are:

  • Glasgow, SECC – November 26
  • Birmingham, LG Arena – 27
  • Manchester, MEN Arena – 29
  • London, O2 Arena - 30
