Bryan Adams, Bob Geldof Pay Tribute To Thin Lizzy's Gary MooreBryan Adams and Sir Bob Geldof are among the musicians who have paid tribute to Gary Moore, who died at the weekend.

The guitarist, who play with Thin Lizzy, died while on holiday in Spain. He was 58.

In a message on Twitter, Adams called Moore a “guitarist extraordinaire”, adding: “RIP Gary Moore”.

Sir Bob Geldof told BBC News that Moore was, "without question, one of the great Irish bluesmen".

"His playing was exceptional and beautiful. We won't see his like again," he said.

Thin Lizzy founding member Brian Downey said he was in "total shock", adding: "He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just can't believe he is gone."

And band member Eric Bell called Moore “a superb player and a dedicated musician “

After leaving Thin Lizzy, the 58-year-old guitarist went on to launch a solo career and was still touring.
