Shaun Ryder Calls Gillian McKeith 'Daft Old Bat' On I'm A Celebrity

November 29, 2010
Shaun Ryder Calls Gillian McKeith 'Daft Old Bat' On I'm A CelebrityShaun Ryder launched an angry attack against Gillian McKeith on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here at the weekend.

The Happy Mondays star labelled the TV nutritionist a “daft old bat” as they attempted a joint challenge.

Tasked with bringing a celebrity chest back to camp, the pair spent three hours bickering before an upset Ryder left McKeith alone in the jungle.

In a message to camera, he said: “I feel terrible about this swearing, but I just can’t help it - saves throwing her off a bridge.”

Once he returned to camp, Ryder continued to complain about McKeith, who has proven to be a controversial contestant on this year’s series.

Former sprinter Linford Christie was left to help McKeith carry the chest back to camp.

Ryder is currently 5/2 second favourite to win this year’s I’m A Celebrity, while McKeith in a 28/1 outside bet.
