Guns N' Roses Bottled Off Stage At Dublin Gig

September 2, 2010
Guns N' Roses Bottled Off Stage At Dublin GigGuns N’ Roses were bottled off stage after they arrived more than 30 minutes late for a gig in Dublin.

The US band, fronted by Axl Rose, were booed by large sections of the crowd at the O2 last night (September 1).

Guns N’ Roses were scheduled to appear at around 9.15pm, but didn’t arrive until 10.25pm, according to Entertainment.ie.

And when they did begin their set with ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, Rose was forced to stop the song when some fans threw bottles.

In video footage posted by bonoman66, he can be heard telling the crowd: “Alright, here’s the deal: one more bottle, we go home. It’s up to you.

“We would like to stay. Do you want us to stay? We want to stay. We want to have some fun. If you don’t want to have fun all you’ve got to do is let us know - we’ve got no problem - and we’ll go on our way.”

Guns N’ Roses then played three more songs before walking off stage.

An employee at the venue was then forced to apologise to the crowd, telling them to "calm" down.

“We’re trying hard to get Axl back on stage,” he said. “I would ask you to refrain from throwing items at him.”
