Bob Dylan 'Discussing' Future As GPS Voice Over ManAugust 25, 2009
Bob Dylan has been approached about providing the voice over for a satellite navigation system.
The musician spoke about the proposal on his Theme Time Radio Hour, which airs on BBC 6 Music at midnight on Mondays. “I probably shouldn't do it because whichever way I go, I always end up at one place - on Lonely Avenue,” Dylan said. “Luckily I'm not totally alone. Ray Charles beat me there." Despite his reluctance, the singer-songwriter, who is famed for his recognisable voice, said he was “talking to a couple of car companies” about the idea. He also gave listeners an example of what his driver instructions might sound like. "Left at the next street. No, right. You know what? Just go straight," he said.
