Weezer is an American alternative rock band that formed in Los Angeles in 1992. The band now consists of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums, guitar, backing vocals), Brian Bell (guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), and Scott Shriner (bass, backing vocals, keyboards). The band has changed lineups several times since its formation in 1992. They have released seven full-length albums, six EPs, and a DVD. Weezer has sold more than nine million records in the US to date.

Weezer have announced details of a one-off gig in London this summer. The band, fronted by Rivers Cuomo, will play Brixton Academy on July 6 as a warm-up for their appearance at the Sonisphere festival. Read more

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has recorded a cover of one of The Beach Boys most famous hits. The singer filmed himself performing the band's classic 1966 song 'God Only Knows' at his home studio. Read more
