We Are Scientists
We Are Scientists is a New York-based rock band that formed in Berkeley, California in the year 2000. Originally formed of Keith Murray on drums, Chris Cain playing bass guitar and Scott Lamb providing vocals and guitar, before Michael Tapper became drummer and Keith became vocalist and guitarist. The band's breakthrough success came with their second album "With Love and Squalor" which sold 100,000 copies in the first 6 months. Their second success was with "Brain Thrust Mastery" which charted at 11 in the UK album chart, with two top 40 singles "After Hours" and "Chick Lit". Their third album, "Barbara", was released in the UK on the 14th June 2010. As well as starring in their own television short Steve Wants His Money.

We Are Scientists and Guillemots have been added to the line-up for this year's Dot to Dot festival 2011. The event, which takes place across Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester from May 28 - 30, will also feature performances Mona, Hurts and The Naked And Famous. Read more

We Are Scientists have announced details of a summer UK tour around their festival appearances. The US band will kick off the jaunt at Middlesbrough'sEmpire on June 13, before playing the Assembly in Leamington Spa on June 14 and London's KOKO on June 15. Read more

We Are Scientists have unveiled the video for their new single, 'I Don't Bite'. The short, directed by Dan Monick, shows the duo of Keith Murray and Chris Cain being driven around in the back of a car while sporting several different outfits. Read more

TV presenter Alexa Chung has designed the artwork for We Are Scientists new single 'I Don't Bite'. Chung, who is the girlfriend of Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner, has drawn a sea-like mammal standing next to a cocktail glass. Read more
