The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music group established by Liam Howlett in 1990 in Braintree, Essex. Along with Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method, as well as other acts, members of the Prodigy have been credited as pioneers of the big beat genre which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s and 2000s. They have sold over 20 million records worldwide.

The Prodigy are set to release their first film in UK cinemas next month. 'World's On Fire' is a film based around the band's summer gig at Milton Keynes bowl last July. Read more

The Prodigy have now joined a number of other musicians trying to stop X Factor winner Matt Cardle reaching the Christmas top spot. The Prodigy will headline next year's Snowbombing festival in Austria, it's been announced. The dance act are the first performers to be confirmed the for the festival, which takes place at the resort of Mayrhofen from April 4-9. Read more

The Prodigy have been named the most influential dance act of all time in a new survey. The electronic trio, who have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, received 29% of the vote, ahead of French duo Daft Punk, with 13%, and Faithless, with 11%. Read more
