The Maccabees will headline this year’s Summer Sundae festival in Leicester, it’s been announced. Blur’s Graham Coxon, The Bees, Little Comets and Newton Faulkner will also perform at the event.  Read more

The Maccabees played a triumphant sold out show at London’s Brixton Academy on Saturday night and spoke of how it was the highpoint of their career so far. Talking exclusively to Gigwise lead singer Orlando Weeks said “Friends of mine have almost only been coming to see us all these years because they thought that one day we’d get to play Brixton Academy so it’s a massive achievement for us.”  Read more
