Kiss, The Cure and Billy Joel will all feature on a new Paul McCartney covers album, it has been reported. The singer is planning to make a new album featuring covers of his solo material and Wings tracks which will also feature his son James.   Read more 

The Cure are set to headline next year's Bestival festival on the Isle of Wight, it's been announced. The event, which takes place at Robin Hill Country Park from September 8-11, will mark the band's only European date of 2011.  Read more 

Crystal Castles have announced details of a new single featuring Robert Smith of The Cure. The track, entitled 'Not In Love', is due to be released on December 6 and will include early acoustic demos of 'Celestica' and 'Suffocation' on the b-side.  Read more 

The Cure's Robert Smith, Tokio Hotel and Franz Ferdinand are amongst the names appearing on the soundtrack to Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland. The soundtrack, 'Almost Alice', will be released on March 2 and will also feature the likes of Wolfmother. Metro Station and The All-American Rejects alongside the previously announced Avril Lavigne and the Mark Hoppus/Pete Wentz collaboration.  Read more 

The Cure's Robert Smith says he 'disagreed violently' with Radiohead giving 'In Rainbows' away as a pay what you want download back in October 2007. The 49-year-old expressed his strong feelings in an interview with The Times and hailed Radiohead's landmark experiment as an “idiot plan.”  Read more
