New York Dolls
The New York Dolls is an American rock band, formed in New York in 1971. In 2004 the band reformed with three of their original members, two of whom, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, continue on today and have released two records of new material. The original bassist, Arthur Kane, died shortly after their first reunion concert.

New York Dolls have confirmed they will dedicate a song to their former manager, the late Malcolm McLaren, at their gig at London's KOKO tonight (April 19). Despite the Icelandic volcano ash halting many UK gigs featuring international acts, the band's KOKO gig will go ahead tonight where they will dedicate 'Jet Boy' to McLaren. Read more

Punk rock supergroup Batusis have announced details of their debut EP and UK tour. Featuring Sylvain Sylvain from New York Dolls and Rocket From The Tombs and Dead Boys' Cheetah Chrome they will release their self-titled debut EP on collectable 7” inch multi-colored vinyl and digital download on Smog Veil records on May 4th. New York Dolls will debut material from their new album during an appearance on Later with Jools Holland next week. The BBC2 show will air live at 10pm on May 12, while a pre-recorded edition will be shown on May 15 at 11.35pm. Read more
