Mogwai are a Scottish post-rock band, formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band consists of Stuart Braithwaite (electric guitar, vocals), John Cummings (electric guitar, vocals), Barry Burns (electric guitar, piano, synthesiser, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (bass guitar), and Martin Bulloch (drum kit). The band typically composes lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that feature dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy use of distortion and effects.

Mogwai have announced details of a UK tour, which is set to get underway in February 2011. The band’s 10-date jaunt begins in Bournemouth on February 17, and also includes gigs in Leeds (February 20) and Oxford (23). Read more

Mogwai have announced details of a special screening of their live film 'Burning' in London next month. The screening at The Scala on June 3rd has been dubbed the Burning Party and will feature a live performance by Rock Action records' very own Remember Remember and DJ sets by Mogwai, Fuck Buttons and Errors.
