Lil' Wayne To Be Sentenced In February On Gun Charges

Lil' Wayne will be sentenced on February 9 after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

The date was set as the rapper made a brief appearance in Manhattan state court in New York on Tuesday.

Lil' Wayne was arrested in July 2007 when police allegedly found him trying to conceal a .40 caliber semi-automatic loaded handgun on his tour bus.

In a plea deal, the rapper's legal team have called for a one-year jail term.

Meanwhile, the release of Lil' Wayne's next album 'Rebirth' has also been delayed until next February.
