James are an English rock band from Manchester. They formed in 1982 and were active throughout the 1980s, but most successful during the 1990s. Their hit singles include "Sit Down" and "Laid". Following the departure of lead singer Tim Booth in 2001, the band became inactive but re-formed in January 2007, returning for a new album and international tour.

James have announced details of December UK tour, which gets underway with two dates in London. The band will play the Hammersmith Apollo on December 9 and Brixton Academy on December 10. Read more

James frontman Tim Booth says the band are releasing two mini-albums instead of a full record partially to cater for the shorter attention spans of music consumers in the digital age. The indie veterans release their first mini-album, 'The Night Before', on Monday (April 19th) and will follow this up with 'The Morning After' later this year. Read more

Bombay Bicycle Club have been added to the line-up for this summer's Isle of Wight festival. The event, which takes place at Seaclose Park from July 11-13, will also feature James and Ocean Colour Scene. Read more

James have unveiled details of a UK tour for next April which includes a date at London's Royal Albert Hall. Dubbed 'The Mirrorball Tour', the band will play 10 dates across the land in support of their new mini album 'The Night Before' out in spring. Read more
