Good, Good News

[No lyrics]

. . .

He has Jupiter for a pillow,
an angel choir for a lullaby,
clouds for a blanket,
and the moon is his night light.
But he don't ever sleep,
'cause he's busy watching over me.
He rules the universe, from his throne on high.
But when I need attention, he is by my side,
He's watching me. Yes, he's watching me.

He's a busy God but on his list of things to do,
his number one priority is watching me and you.
He's taking care of business, feeding birds and making rain.
But he'll stop what he's doing when I speak his name.
Cause he's watching, he's watching me.

He might be busy painting rainbows,
or making demons plead.
But he'll still find the time to make some time for you and me.
There's nothing, no no nothing, he would rather do.
Well he knows when I'm in trouble, he don't miss a beat.
Oen eye's on that sparrow and the other one's on me,
He's watching me. Yes, he's watching me.

He's a busy God but on his list of things to do,
his number one priority is watching me and you.
He's taking care of business, feeding birds and making rain.
But he'll stop what he's doing when I speak his name.
He's a busy God but on his list of things to do,
his number one priority is watching me and you.
He's taking care of business, feeding birds and making rain.
But he'll stop what he's doing when I speak his name.
Cause he's watching, he's watching me. Yes he's watching, he's watching me.
Well, he's watching, he's watching me

When you grow up on blue highways
And that's what you call home
All the people would stop and stare
At this old orphan of the road

In the beginning they did not believe me
But they believe me now
Tell my mama and tell my papa
I wish they could see me now

Chorus:
I'm coming back
For the resurrection
For the resurrection
I'm coming back
For the resurrection
For the resurrection

You're an outcast in a land of strangers
And that'a a cardinal sin
Make a break for the outside world
And they won't let you in

If you get lost out on coney island
Tell all my friends hello
That's where i learned the rules of the game
They taught me all i know

Chorus

You were drowning in a sea of laughter
Tears were in your eyes
When you found out what you were after
I could see your spirit rise

Chorus

. . .

Verse 1:
Come, ye sinners, lost and lonely,
Jesus' blood can make you free;
For He saved the worst among you,
When He saved a wretch like me.
Chorus:
And I know, yes, I know
Jesus' blood can make the vilest sinner clean,
And I know, yes, I know
Jesus' blood can make the vilest sinner clean.
Verse 2:
To the faint He giveth power,
Through the mountains makes a way;
Findeth water in the desert,
Turns the night to golden day.
Verse 3:
In temptation He is near thee,
Holds the pow'rs of hell at bay;
Guides you to the path of safety,
Gives you grace for every day

. . .

Chorus
When I get to glory, I'm gonna sing, sing, sing
I'm gonna let the hallelujahs ring
I'm gonna praise my blessed saviour's name
When I get to glory, I'm gonna sing, sing, sing.

In this world of sorrow, I've seen trouble and woe
When I get to glory I'll see no more
For I know my prayers have not been in vain
When I get to glory, I'm gonna sing, sing, sing.

Sometimes I get so weary inside
Then I recall how my jesus died
Up there I know, there'll be no pain
When I get to glory, I'm gonna sing, sing, sing.

Chorus

Up there no tears will blind my eyes
And I'll walk along by my jesus' side
I'll meet my loved ones all once again
When I get to glory, I'm gonna sing, sing, sing.

Chorus

. . .

So many years I cried 'cause my soul denied
That He would save a wretch like me
So full of gloom and dread that I hung my head
I wouldn't claim the victory
Then one day His love like a winged dove
Settled down upon my life
And I realized he had authorized
My ticket to paradise

On the authority of the Holy Word
I rise up and take my stand
I'm a blood bought child of the living God
Who is the Great I Am
I'm an heir to all that heaven holds
And no principality
Can ever take away my royal crown
Given on His authority

It's a mystery why He came to me
Why He would choose me for His own
Why He pulled me out of the lake of doubt
Set me right beside His throne
Why he guaranteed, with His seal decreed
My inheritance by right
I'm His favored child, and that makes me smile
I'm the center of His delight

On the authority of the Holy Word
I rise up and take my stand
I'm a blood bought child of the living God
Who is the Great I Am
I'm an heir to all that heaven holds
And no principality
Can ever take away my royal crown
Given on His authority

On the authority of the Holy Word
I rise up and take my stand
I'm a blood bought child of the living God
Who is the Great I Am
I'm an heir to all that heaven holds
And no principality
Can ever take away my royal crown
Given on His authority

I'm an heir to all that heaven holds
And no principality
Can ever take away my royal crown
Given on His authority

In the heat of the early morning
On a hill they call the Skull
The roaring of the angry mob had settled to a lull
All eyes were cast upon the man whose hands and feet were bound
They saw him cry in anguish when they heard the hammer pound

They watched the bloody woven thorns with which His head was crowned
They watched the bloody cross of wood be dropped into the ground
The soldiers gambled for His clothes, they watched them win and lose
They saw the sign above His head that said "King of the Jews"

(Chorus)
(It is finished) And the sky grew black as the night
(It is finished) And the people scattered in fright
The work had been done, redemption had been won
The war was over without a fight
It is finished

They searched His face for anger, for vengeance in His stare
Instead of eyes that burned with hate a look of love was there
He prayed for their forgiveness and bowed His battered head
And noone knew the meaning of the final words He said

The provision has been made
The foundation has been laid
He paid the ransom due and tore the temple veil in two
And opened up the way for me and you
It is finished

. . .

The other day i passed the place, you always liked to go
and i picked up the phone because, i thought you wanna know
but i forgot you weren't there i miss you all these days, that iam reminded of your smile and the funny things you'd say
i see you most at christmas, you were like, a little kid
you always loved a good surprise, and now i must admit, that i long more for heaven than ever did before
you give me one more reason and each day i want it more

(chorus)
knowing we can spend a life time reminiscing on the past, knowing i will see your face again where tender moments last
it makes me wanna go there
(knowing i wont be alone)
knowing you'll be there
makes it easy to go home

you left a group of fisherman
somehow, you left me too
though i have felt you many times, i know you saw me through
i always long to feel your arms and look into your eyes, and talk forever me and you somewhere in paradise. (back to chorus)

. . .

Among the local taverns they'll be a slack in business
'Cause Jesse's drinkin' came before the groceries and the rent
Among the local women they'll be a slack in cheatin'
'Cause Jesse won't be be steppin' out again.

They baptized Jesse Taylor in Cedar Creek last Sunday
Jesus gained a soul and Satan lost a good right arm
They all cried "Hallelujah" as Jesse's head went under
'Cause this time he went under for the Lord.

The scars on Jesse's knuckles were more than just respected
The county courthouse records tell all there is to tell
The pockets of the gamblers will soon miss Jesse's money
And the black eye of the law will soon be well.

(Chorus)

From now on Nancy Taylor can proudly speak to neighbors
Tell how much Jesse took up with little Jim
Now Jimmy's got a daddy and Jesse's got a family
And Franklin County's got a lot more man.

(Chorus)

. . .

If you could see
What I once was
If u could go with me
Back to where I started from
Then, I know you would see
A miracle of Love that put me
in it's sweet embrace
and made me what I am today
just an old sinner
Saved by grace

Im just a sinner
Saved by grace
when I stood
condemned to death
He took my place
Now I live and breathe in freedom
with each breath of life I take
loved and forgivin
backed with a living
I'm just a sinner
Saved by grace

How could I boast on anything
I've ever seen or done
how could I dare to claim as mine
the victories GOD has won
where would I be
had GOD not brought me
gently to this place
I'm here to say I'm nothing but
a sinner
Saved by grace

I'm just a sinner
Saved by grace
when I stood condemned to death
He took my place
Now I grow and breathe in freedom
with each breath of life I take
I'm loved and forgivin
backed with a living
I'm just a sinner
Saved by grace

Now I grow and breathe in freedom
with each breath of life I take
I'm loved and forgivin
backed with a living
I'm just a sinner
Saved by grace
Saved by grace

He came down to my level
When I couldn't get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin' is
He'll come down to your level if you'll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin'
That's what he came down for

He came down to my level
When I couldn't get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin' is
He'll come down to your level if you'll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin'
That's what he came down for

If you're lookin' for contentment
In the things that you can see
You're gonna have some disappointment
So won't you listen to me please
'Cause I know about a Savior
He came down to be a man
And when He left He sent His Spirit
He made me everything to me.

He came down to my level
When I couldn't get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin' is
He'll come down to your level if you'll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin'
That's what he came down for

Sometimes I make decisions
That later I regret
But the Lord keep assuring me
He's not finished with me yet
I don't worry about tomorrow
I don't worry about yesterday
I don't worry about this crazy world
'Cause I Found a better way

He came down to my level
When I couldn't get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin' is
He'll come down to your level if you'll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin'
That's what he came down for

He came down to my level
When I couldn't get up to His
With a strong arm He lifted me up
To show me what livin' is
He'll come down to your level if you'll open up the door
He wants to make your life worth livin'
That's what he came down for

He wants to make your life worth livin'
That's what he came down for
That's what he came down for

'Twas a life filled with aimless desperation
Without hope walked the shell of a man;
Then a hand with a nailprint stretched downward,
Just one touch then a new life began.

Chorus:

And the old rugged cross made the difference
In a life bound for heartache and defeat;
I will praise Him forever and ever
For the cross made the difference for me.

Barren walls echoed harshness and anger
Little faces ran in terror to hide;
Now those walls ring with love, warmth and laughter,
Since the giver of life moved inside.

Repeat Chorus

There's a room filled with sad, ashen faces
Without hope death has wrapped them in gloom;
But at the side of a saint there's rejoicing,
For life can't be sealed in a tomb.

Repeat Chorus

. . .

Loving God, Loving Each Other

[No lyrics]

. . .

For an end it all celebration
To begin eternity
With a righteous congregation,
This world's comin' to an end
And it won't be long;
The party's gonna' start
And go on and on and on
CHORUS:
I'll be singin' with the saints
At the morning light,
Ringin' in the day
'Cause there is no night.
Sayin' goodbye to the heartache,
Trouble and pain,
I'll be sittin' at the throne
With an angel band,
Shoutin' hallelujah
To the great I Am
If you think it's a dream,
Well, it ain't.
I'll be singin' with the saints.
The tambourine's ringin'
And David starts to feel the rhythm.
Paul and Silas are hummin' a tune
They wrote in prison.
Well, Gabriel hears the music
And he picks up his horn;
It's just another glory, hallelujah morn.
Repeat chorus (3 times)

. . .

I saw the wayward traveler, in garments tattered clad,
And traveling up the Mountain, it seemed that he was sad.
His back was laden heavy, his strength was almost gone,
But he shouted as he journeyed, deliver ance will come.

Chorus: Then palms of victory, crowns of glory,
Palms of victory I shall wear.

The summer sun was shining, the sweat was on his brow,
His garments worn and dusty, his step seemed very slow.
But he kept pressing onward, for he was wending home,
Still shouting as he journeyed, deliverance will come.

The songsters in the arbor, that stood beside the way,
Attracted his attention, invited his delay.
His watchword being Onwards, he stopped his ears and ran,
And shouted as he journeyed, deliverance will come.

I saw him in the evening, the sun was getting low,
He had overtopped the mounting, and reached the vale below.
He saw the golden city, his everlasting home,
And shouted hosanna, deliverance will come.

While gazing on the city, just o'er the narrow flood,
A band of holy angels came from the throne of God,
They bore him on their pinions safe o'er the dashing foam,
And joined him in his triumph, Deliverance has come

. . .

Then Came The Morning

[No lyrics]

. . .

I believe in a hill called mount calvary
I believe whatever the cost
And when time has surrendered
And earth is no more
I'll still cling to the old rugged cross

I believe that this life with its great mysteries
Surely someday will come to an end
But faith will conquer the darkness and death
And will lead at last to my friend

I believe that the Christ
Who was slain on the cross
Has the power to change lives today
For He changed me completely
A new life is mine
And that is why by the cross
I will stay

I believe in a hill called mount calvary
I believe whatever the cost
And when time has surrendered
And earth is no more
I'll still cling to the old rugged cross

. . .

I know a place
A wonderful place
Where accused and condemned
Find mercy and grace
Where the wrongs we have done
And the wrongs done to us
Were nailed there with Him
There on the cross

At the cross, He died for my sins
At the cross, He gave His life again
At the cross, He died for my sins
At the cross, He gave His life again

. . .
