Broken Bells is an American rock music band composed of artist-producer Brian Burton (better known as Danger Mouse) and James Mercer, the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Oregonian indie rock band The Shins. Broken Bells compose and create as a duo, but are joined by a full band on tour. Following the success of their first self-titled album, "Broken Bells", Mercer and Burton have announced intentions to record a follow-up.

Vampire Weekend have been forced to cancel their Eden Sessions gig in Cornwall later this month. The band were set to perform alongside Broken Bells at the Eden Project on June 24. Read more

Broken Bells, Seasick Steve and Paolo Nutini are set to appear at this summer's Meltdown festival in London, it's been announced. The event, which has been curated by Richard Thompson, takes place at the Southbank Centre throughout June. Read more

Broken Bells made their UK live debut last night with an impressive sold-out show at London's ICA. Fresh from performing at the Nouveau Casino in Paris on Monday, The Shins' James Mercer and Danger Mouse from Gnarls Barkley took to the stage to a rapturous response from the audience including a certain Mark Ronson.
