February 14, 2011
Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire Win Big At Grammy Awards 2011Arcade Fire were the surprise winners at this year's Grammy Awards, taking home Album Of The Year for 'The Suburbs'.

The Montreal-based band beat the favourite Eminem, who despite picking up ten nominations only took home two awards.

"What the hell,” singer Win Butler said as the band appeared on stage to collect their award. Other nominees in the category included Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

Country act Lady Antebellum were the big winners, picking up five awards at the ceremony in Los Angeles, while Lady Gaga walked award with three.

The singer, who arrived on the red carpet inside a giant egg which she later emerged from to perform 'Born This Way', won Best Pop Vocal Album for 'The Fame Monster'.

Jay-Z and John Legend won three prizes each, while Eminem captured the awards for Rap Album for 'Recovery' and Rap Solo Performance.

The Black Keys collected two awards, Muse's 'The Resistance' was named Best Rock Album.
