ABBA was a Swedish pop music group formed in Stockholm in 1972, consisting of Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Fältskog. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982.

Abba have begun legal against a Danish far-right party that has been using one of the group's hit songs at its rallies. The youth wing of the Danish People's Party (DF) has been playing a customised version of the song 'Mamma Mia', entitled 'Mamma Pia', after their leader Pia Kjaersgaard. Read more

ABBA tribute band Bjorn Again played a secret concert for the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin last month, their founder has claimed. Rod Stephen said the group were paid £20,000 to perform at a theatre on the shores of Lake Valdai, which is 200 miles north of Moscow. Read more
