Plan B and Shakira are set to perform at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) in Madrid, it’s been announced.

They join previously announced performers Katy Perry, Kid Rock, Kings Of Leon and Linkin Park.

The 17th annual EMAs will take place at Caja Magica in Madrid on November 7. The ceremony will be hosted by Hollywood actress Eva Longoria.

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry both have four nominations, including nods for Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song.

“I am so proud that the two most nominated artists this year are two amazing women - Lady Gaga and Katy Perry - who are making some of the most exciting music in pop right now,” Longoria said.

Elsewhere, Eminem has been shortlisted for Best Song, Best Male and Best Video for his Rihanna-featuring track, 'Love The Way You Lie'.
