AC/DC seemingly confirmed that they are headlining Download Festival next year.

The legendary rockers made a posting on their website announcing they are playing the Donington Park event on Friday June 11th but swiftly took it down.

Download booker and Live Nation promoter Andy Copping later wrote on Twitter: Not sure what to say about the AC/DC slip up tonight, it seems to have been taken off their site now. I think they may just want to play."

Download Festival takes place from June 11th to June 13th, 2010. The full line-up will be unveiled early next year.
